Ryan Swartz is an upcoming picture editor, based in Ontario. He is a recent graduate of the three year advanced diploma Film and Television Production program at Humber College.
He has been passionate about post picture since 2006, when he began writing and editing various shorts. He gained valuable post-experience while interning at Creative Forces Media, where he used motion graphics to create a variety of short TV spots.
Ryan acted as editor on the short documentary, "The Practice", editor on the short film "Mood Candles", and one of the picture editors on the "Interstitials Project". He was also the assistant editor on the short film "Stall". Ryan also has experience as an assistant video editor from his time as an intern at MPSG Weddings Inc. Ryan recently finished up a variety of VFX work as the Supervising VFX editor on the short film "Jacob is Ready".
In his spare time, he enjoys writing and illustrating children’s stories, and writing novels and screenplays. Ryan is currently developing a pilot TV and series bible, while actively pursuing his goal of becoming a picture editor in the Film and Television industry. He also holds a BA, with honours, in Classical History from the University of Western Ontario.
